Alexis Skriloff James is a published writer and author with over 25 years of professional experience. Her expertise covers various genres from technical, business, commercial, to the entertainment field. Alexis is an expert writing coach, as well as known for her editing and critiquing skills regarding various types of book manuscripts, handbooks, marketing brochures, and film scripts. As a blogger, Alexis provides expert tips on how to craft your works and provides coaching, editing, and critiquing services for the established writer, as well as the beginning writer.

As a California correspondent, she covered conventions and wrote feature articles for a trade publication, Service Business Magazine, for over 6 years. In addition, she has contributed various articles to other publications and is a published poet.

Her career has taken her from the head of the Standards, Policy, and Procedures operation in aerospace, working with four branches of the Department of Defense (Air Force, Navy, Army, and Marines), adhering to Military Standards. An innovative, award-winning, publications and documentation expert, - saving funds, and expediting deliverables. Alexis served as Managing editor for McCarty Publications, and Assistant Branch Manager for Hearst Newspaper and Publications.

Alexis is a member of the National Small Business Administration (NSBA), System for Award Management (SAMs) – (Federal Government contracts), Small Business Administration (SBA)- (certification pending), and PTAC- liaison for Department of Defense contracts. Alexis is also a graduate of the Hollywood Film Institute and has attended classes at USC, UCLA, Martin University, and Ivey Tech Community College. Alexis holds various writing and technical certifications.
